BE PART OF UTAH'S LONGEST "RUNNING" THANKSGIVING DAY EVENT!
- Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center 7500 South 2700 East Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121
- Race starts near south entrance to CHRC (by Butler Middle School)
Thursday, November 22 - 9:00 AM Race Start
- Race capped at 2,000 runners!
- Age division awards (1st-3rd) & overall Men's and Women's awards (1st-3rd).
- Great drawing prizes for all runners!
- Strollers and dogs on leashes welcome! - please line up in the back
- Awards and refreshments in gymnasium after the race (awards start at approximately 9:45am)
- Beat the Mayor to the finish line and receive a commemorative medal!*

Adult Pricing:
- $25 - Regular Registration (through November 4)
- $30 - Late-Registration (November 5 - 20)**

20% off per person for groups of 5+
Pricing includes shirt and chip timing; all proceeds go directly back into events, programs and activities provided by the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area. $1 of every registration will be donated to the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center Foundation.

PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will occur at CHRC (7500 S. 2700 E., CWH, UT 84121) from 8am-8pm on Wednesday, November 21 and/or from 7:30am-8:50am on race day, Thursday, November 22. Please note that we have to make an estimate on shirt orders much earlier than race day, and consequently, your requested shirt might not be available when you pick up your bib; in this case we will take your name and number, and contact you when our shirt re-order has come in (estimated to be early December).

Due to advanced planning, coordination, fixed costs, etc, we have a strict No-Refund policy but we do allow and will accommodate transfers at no cost.
*Medal is not a participation award - you must beat the Mayor to the finish line to receive one. Although parents, if you have sad little campers who weren't awarded medals, come find us, we're happy to help.
**Registration will close on Tuesday, November 20 at 12pm MST.
***Day-Before and Same-Day registrations are not guaranteed to be eligible for awards (very slim chance you wouldn't be) and will not be permitted to pick up a shirt until after the race or via shirt re-order, pending availability.

fun race - For most individuals it is a fun race to do with family and friends on this Thanksgiving day before a long day of food and football games. For those who are in it to win you can get your trophy or ribbon/award for running faster than the Mayor or Turkey (Depending on the year).

Great first time experience
I walked/ran the 5k on the treadmill for a few weeks in advance to prepare, but that wasn't even necessary. The event was a comically slow mass of jovial/giggling/chatting participants, so I spent the whole time skipping along (happy to have gloves, but wishing I had remembered ear muffs -- maybe have those in next year's participant packet?). Organization was pretty good with some opportunity for improvement in information for beginners. Raffle prizes were fun (won movie tiks)!
Good program!
My daughter ran your 5k last year, and was able to talk her 2 brothers into running it with her this year(all under 30 minutes). My husband, her daughter and boyfriend, and I were on the sidelines watching. We had a blast!! We have decided to make this a Thanksgiving tradition, and hopefully talk her other brother to do it too!! Thank you for all you do!!
