To accurately charge sales tax, the site needs to be able to know who is nonprofit.

• 🚧 The database keeps track of nonprofit status by payee or processor account for Stripe
• ✅ The possible options are: for profit, nonprofit, and government
• 🚧 A director can change the nonprofit status on the payee or processor page (then and only then can a given event be not taxable in a marketplace state)
• ✅ Selecting anything other than for profit requires an EIN (if we have an EIN for a payee we should populate it in the Direct Deposit field for if they add direct deposit)
• 🚧 A director can view the nonprofit status on the payee or processor page including whether it has been verified or not
• 🚧 After changing nonprofit status, payee name, direct deposit account details, or processor account, the payee/processor will be considered unverified
• 🚧 Unverified statuses must be reviewed by an admin who then marks them approved or rejected
• 🚧 If rejected, the event dashboard for events with that payee show a dismissable notice that the provided information was invalid
• 🚧 While unverified, taxes will be calculated as if it is for profit
• 🚧 Display a dismissible notice on the event dashboard if any charities in the event are tied to for profit payees
• 🚧 On the charity page, encourage directors to have the charity paid directly if the event's payee is for profit
• 🚧 Any events that are already marked as not-taxable we should mark that way.
• 🚧 We need an upload capability on the payee page to upload the proof of non-profit status if the payee is marked as non-profit, or government. We should then also ask if the event is taxable (some events are still taxable even if it is non-profit). Only ask if an event is taxable if the payee is government/non-profit.
